“He will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
I cannot help but giggle every time I read this verse. It seems like something my husband would do in the middle of Walmart just to embarrass me. I am innocently walking along, when all of a sudden, he starts singing along to the love song on the radio…to me….loudly. I just keep walking. I pretend I don’t know the man. Nevertheless I giggle because my husband will never stop being himself, and I love that. He will just keep singing and rejoicing whether I am mortified or not. He wants the whole world to know how he feels.
The Lord rejoices over you with LOUD singing. He isn’t embarrassed at all to let the entire universe know that He loves you. So He rejoices over you…loudly…in a Walmart. I know how loud my husband can sing, but can you imagine how loud God can sing in the heavens? Does He use a hairbrush as a microphone or does he use a tree? Does He play a mean air guitar? Do angels join in as backup singers? These are things I want to know!!
Today, if you need a pick-me-up, remember this verse. Picture it. God is rejoicing over you with very loud singing. Tune in to His song.
